Flood waters recede.

Just as the low areas on the 'Main Lane' started to fill up with water from saturation and the entire road came within 1 1/2 inches of flooding out, the waters have ceased rising, and for the time being have actually dropped a bit.

Here's is the latest flood levels since 4/13, the time when we reached 'Alert Status' up until today. 'Alert Status' is reached when we are within 5 inches of flooding.

4/13 - Alert stage reached. Water at this point is up over 3 feet from the normal, dry land.

Wow - looks like you've completely remodeled the farmstead since the last time I was there. When did that 2 story barn go up??

And where's the update for Saturday? I signed up for the 7 day a week plan. Slacker.

I cannot tell a lie .. I'M BEAT!

From checking the pumps all day and night, to using the shop vac getting water out of the basement, it wears a guy out. I really liked my 25 gallon wet vac until I had to carry it upstairs to dump it out.

Top that off with about 4 other projects and I need to do what God did ... REST on the seventh day.
