Quadrillion .. kind of a strange word, but I bet it won't be for long.
A quadrillion is the number that comes after trillion. In other words, the order goes hundred, thousand, million, billion, trillion, and then quadrillion.
The reason I bring this up is because at the rate this country is going, I think we're all going to be using this word more often in the future. Remember the days when 'Millionaire' meant a hell-of-a-lot of money? Now it's thrown around so much it don't mean squat! Now billion is the old million ... and trillion is the shocking number. Well if we keep on living as dumb as we have in the past, then the word quadrillion isn't to far around the corner.
How can we possibly expect to solve our financial crisis by printing more money out of thin air? How can we possibly expect to solve our financial crisis by bailing out every sorry ass business that isn't turning a buck? How can the everyday people end the economy crisis when they all think that money is 'plastic'?? How can anything get fixed when the whole nation is under the assumption 'buy now-pay later' is the American way?
Yeah, yeah .. I know, most people blame the greedy, corrupt bankers that caused all this. NOT ME! I think it's pretty much EXPECTED for the bankers to act the way they did! It's the everyday American that I blame! YUP ... I blame the American people for being stupider than stupid! If you're stupid enough to think you can buy a house with no money down, AND be able to lie about your income, AND get money back on closing, AND then refinance 3 times to get MORE money to revamp the entire house .... then you're too stupid to even be living in a house in the first place. Go wander the alleys and eat some discarded restaurant food out of the dumpsters.
But the problem wasn't that a few stupid people did this ... not even that a few thousand people .. but more like many MILLIONS of people did this, and in the process, broke the back of our country. Thanks! Can't tell you just how proud I am of all of you! To think that you ... as an ADULT, could think you could get away with it, and just continue living like nothing ever happened ... well ... I'm scared to think of the values that you teach your kids if your that dumb to begin with.
Whatever happened to hard work? Whatever happened to saving for something? Whatever happened to the value of a dollar? Whatever happened to starting with little and building up to something better as time goes on .. like your car, or your house? Stupid, spoiled, greedy, yuppy, pricks have brought this nation to our knees.
And don't think I'm letting the bankers slide away free of charge! Their greedy pricks! OF COURSE THEY ARE! But if someone to told you to jump off a cliff ... would you? If they handed you a gun and said fire it at your head ... would you? Of course you say NO ... but in this case I wish you would have said YES .. then we wouldn't be in this mess were in to begin with!!
So I present the word"Quadrillion". If we keep going down the same track were on, your going to be seeing a lot more of it. That is unless the countries that we owe all this money to don't 'call in their markers' before then and take over our nation that they pretty much already own!

By the way is the economical crisis in the U.S getting worse? And have you personally experienced it?
TT - great video on the explanation of a trillion. However, those are with $1000 bills ... which aren't even made anymore, the biggest we have is $100 bills. So one can take his figures and add a couple more zeros.
I have not been affected on a day to day basis by the crisis, and I'm now at poverty level by choice, so I won't be paying in anything to help the government bail out all these companies either.
I believe the ONLY thing a person should have a loan on is a house .. THAT'S IT. Everything else .. save until you can pay for it!!! I am absolutely against this way of living, and refuse to help bail out anyone who helped create it.

goer and a member of MOPS - does she just do that for all the
free stuff that those places offer her - or is she stuck living
with a man who goes against all she believes in?

And last time I saw, MOPS costs money to go to, but nice try with your lame attempt at an attack.
Since this blog is not written by Me nor do I comment on it very much, it's interesting how my OWN beliefs, thoughts, ideas and lifestyle are under attack. While my husband and I are married and are "one", we are both separate people as well and are free to express our own beliefs and opinions. I don't control what he (or anyone) thinks, says or believes, I can only be responsible for Myself and do My best to life my life according to My own beliefs.
Having said that we are different people, I will also add that there are things that I agree with him on, such as the way the gov spends our money and the way we handle our own finances.
I don't really understand your connection regarding church, MOPS and free services since MOPS has a fee that most people pay and Church has a Tithe involved as well as the option to volunteer our time. Is it lying to people by going to church and MOPS? Is it taking advantage of free services to be a member of those places, pay dues, volunteer time? Last time I looked, those were public places where a person didn't need to spell out what they believe in order to attend.
I would also like to add that if someone has read thru even 50% of the posts on this blog, they would realize that the comment by anonymous actually falls into quite a few of the topics of this blog such as some religious people being judgmental and closed minded, not open to other ideas or even to some truths when clearly pointed out.
Regarding the RBV: have you looked any of these up? Does Les lie or does he do what many other popular televangelist do: pick and choose verses according to the topic at hand?
In closing I would just like to remind people that this is a free country and if something offends you there is still something you can do: turn away from it, shut it off, walk away....
