The POWERS that be.

I am convinced that the powers that be are going to do what they want, how they want, and when they want. Actually, I knew this long ago, but our last administration really put the final nails in the coffin.

I mean honestly, if George W. Bush, Condoleezza Rice, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld can walk away from this administration without seeing the darkness of prison walls, I think it's safe to say that anyone in power can get away with whatever they want.

It's really sad. I'd like to think we live in a country where the 'people' are the power. It's a nice thought, but it's really not true. Here is just a SHORT list of the scandals involved with our recent administration:

- CIA interrogation tapes destroyed
- Endless 9-11 controversies
- Abu Ghraib prison torture
- Blackwater security
- Geneva convention violations
- Halliburton
- Hurricane Katrina disaster
- Iraq oil laws
- NSA illegal phone tapping
- Karl Rove
- Spying on the United Nations
- Walter Reed neglect scandal
- Links to Iraq and W.M.D.'s


If I said I covered 1/10th of the scandals with this list I would be exaggerating. And after it's all said and done, Bush is back home ... whacking His weeds at the ranch. We truly have a corrupt government that is going to do whatever the hell it wants to do no matter how loud the people scream.

Here's a couple quotes from the late, great, George Carlin (one of the smarter men to be on this planet).

"The people that are in charge do what they want, and they will always do what they want. The power does what it wants to."

"This country is finished, it's been sliding downhill for a long time. And everyone has a cell phone that makes pancakes so they don't want to rock the boat."

He's right you know. We are so numb, that NO one questions anything anymore. I hate to say it, but even IF we did question it, I don't think it would matter. For example, take a look at 9-11. For 7 1/2 years people have been screaming about this topic, but nothing ever gets done about it. There's no re-investigation ... nothing! Now I'm not saying that I'm siding with the "9-11 Truth" movement, I'm just saying they are one BIG voice with millions and millions of supporters. It's been 7 1/2 years and we STILL have yet to see an actual video of a plane smashing into the pentagon. This is something 'The truth movement' has wanted since almost day ONE! Again, I don't believe that some missile hit the pentagon, but I'm amazed after all this time, the government refuses to show a video. If for nothing else ... to shut them up!!! I mean it's only been a week or so since the famous plane landed in the Hudson river outside New York, and they are already releasing the tapes for the public to hear.

Yeah, sadly to say, shy of a million man army going to the capital and knocking down the walls, I don't think anything will ever happen. And of course that's never going to happen as long as the people are kept in their little groove and don't want to shake their precious lifestyles, no matter how corrupt it gets at the top of the ladder.

I guess I'll just build my 10 foot wall around my property so one day I'll have the pleasure of having my own private country. Amen!
