King Corn

Just saw a movie yesterday called King Corn. I don't think you'll find it in the theaters or on any top 100 movie lists of all times. Just a simple documentary about corn and how STUPID people are.

I do recommend watching it sometime. It's about 2 people who basically get their DNA footprints taken from a strand of hair, and realize that their made up of mostly corn. So they decide to plant an acre of corn and follow the journey from seed to harvest and beyond to see what happens.

During the movie, they discover just how messed up our diets have become with corn sugar, corn meal, corn syrup, and on and on and on. Basically the government pays farmers to grow cheap, inedible corn so we can throw it in just about every food we eat just to make cheap food and make us all the fat, lazy pigs we have evolved into. Even COWS, when fed corn, need to be fed chemicals to counteract the effects of eating all that corn. If they don't get the chemicals ... they die way to early!! So why do they feed cows so much corn? MONEY!! It's cheap!! Money and greed ..... that's what it's all about folks, every single damn time!!

And you thought I was becoming a PETA thumper!! I told you all this animal talk was NOT about PETA, it's about doing the RIGHT thing!! I'm saying if were going to eat meat, let's eat it as natural as it can be. And were all trained to think that 'corn fed beef' is the BEST you can get! BULLCRAP!!! A cow grazing in a field eating grasses is what a cow does!! Not confined in a pen being stuffed with corn only to get sick so it needs chemicals to prolong it's life so it can fatten up more just to 'make weight' so it can be sold for slaughter!! Money and greed .... every single damn time. Do you really wonder why I'm going out on a such a big limb to give my middle finger to society??? Do you still wonder why I quit My job??? Do you wonder why I question every damn thing we do as a human society??

Anyway, I enjoyed the movie, and I think you might too. And other than reading about the review here, I doubt you'll ever hear about it. WHY? Because there's NO MONEY in it!!!

On a similar note, some blessed child out there has put clips of Religulous on YouTube and at least half of the movie is now available to watch (in 5-10 minute segments that is). I gotta say, I'm impressed with Bill Maher, not only does He question the stupidity of all religions, but He knows what He's talking about too. People refute Him and He has the Biblical knowledge to fight back and disagree.

I'm starting to see why all those countries in the middle east have their women wearing bee keeper suits, and are not allowed to speak, and are treated as second class citizens. It's because the Arab people take their religion WAY to serious!!
