Hypocrites

Now before I go into my random babbling on the keyboard, I just want to say this topic is NOT about PETA, or Save the Whales, or Greenpeace, or anything like that. It's about the principles of the matter. The moral, ethical RIGHT thing! About the human treatment of things!!

Now that being said, lets make fun of some Americans!! It's probably true with all the world over, but I'll just talk about the cournty that I reside in to be safe.

We, as Americans are such hypocrites, in more ways than one, but I'll just talk about one of them .... eating meat! We go about our lives, eating chicken at KFC, picking up a package of meat at the grocery store, going to a restaurant to have a steak dinner, and most of us wouldn't even think about how that meat got to our plate.

So I offer each and every one of you a challenge. I dare you ... NO .. I double dare you to watch the video below. It shows just what happens to the animals we eat BEFORE they get to your plate. The inhuman, sick, disgusting, torturing methods that "man" does to animals.

Again, I'm NOT against eating meat! I frickin' love meat! I have no proof that says we "as humans" shouldn't eat meat! It's just another example of what we "as humans" have done to mess up what should be a normal activity. As I said before, everything we do is corrupt in some way or another. Ahhh hell, just watch the damn video so you know what I'm talking about. I'll catch up with you after you seen it.

NOTE: This video IS from PETA, and it IS about vegetarianism, but that is NOT my point of this blog, so don't link me to that subject please. It's just the best video I could find, which happens to plug PETA.

If your reading this sentence without watching the video .. STOP! Don't be a PUSS ... get back and watch it you HYPOCRITE!!!

Now, I ask you, what's better?

A chicken that lives on a farm, that roams the yard pecking at grain and bugs, living happily, doing what chickens do. Then one day in a matter of less than a minute, someone comes along and grabs it, chops off it's head and that's that!

OR

4 chickens living in a 2X2 foot cage, hardly able to move, next to 1000's and 1000's of other chicken cages. Spending their lives hardly able to move, pulling out all their feathers out of pure boredom, occasionally having a man come around and sticking them with a needle, pumping them full of chemicals to fatten up. Then, after living a hellish life, unable to hardly walk due to the cramped conditions, someone comes along and puts them in a conveyer machine that hangs them upside down to get them in line for a mechanical slaughter that will slowly and painfully pull their limbs apart while they are still alive. Yeah ... what a life. Now take this same scenerio and replace the animal with a cow, or turkey, or pig, or whatever.

Again, the whole process of eating meat. Not a bad thing necessarily, when butchering is done quickly and humane. I personally don't really have anything against anyone who says they are vegetarians because of the animal cruelty habits. Hell, they got a good point, I'm just not a radical left wing person who thinks my dog is tortured because it isn't allowed to run free in the world like it was meant to, meanwhile it lays right next to me in my bed at night, half the time wanting to share my pillow. I challenge anyone to give my dog a better, more spoiled life (hell, I wish I had it that good)!! But MAN has really F'd it up, like always! All for money, greed, and corruption. Give "man" the world, and I almost gaurentee He'll screw it up everytime. We've been on earth so damn long, and I swear we're going backwards ... it's really amazing. As I said before, if there is a God, I think He's sitting up there in the sky with His hands over His face in embarrassment over His creation.

And this is why I'm going to try my change of life starting in January '09, because "man" has once again, screwed up yet another thing that at one time was fairly humane and ethical. And I have NO idea how I'm going to butcher my own meat, because just the thought of my dog whimpering in pain sends chills down my back. But when that day does come and I have to go and chop off the head of a chicken, I'll know that IF I have the balls to do it, it will be 1000 times better than going to the store and picking up some Tyson chicken breasts that have gone through what that video shows.

So the next time your eating that Big Mac, or picking up that nice piece of chicken breast packaged so pretty in a store, stop and think about the process that went into it from the video above, and realize that your part of the whole process that made it happen. And if you decide to toss it in your grocery cart, realize just how big of a hypocrite you really are! Feel better now? Yeah ... Me either.

No RBV today. I think we've all been put through enough with this topic alone.

It makes it all right to eat the tasty, tasty meat because of one thing... Lawry's seasoning. It's delicious. Chase down that steak with a big glass of milk while you're at it!

As long as you watched the video, you can add whatever it is you like to your meat!
