Water - not bottled either !

Did you know that there is a lot of frickin' water around us? A hell of a lot ! Take a look at this picture above and try and vision just how much water there is.

The entire earth is made up of about 70% oceans! Which means us 6.5 billion people live on less than 30% of the earth because there is a lot of earth that no people live due to extreme conditions.
They estimate there is about 36 million trillion gallons of water on earth, thats 36,000,000,000,000,000,000 gallons of water. That's a lot of damn water ! Hell the human body is 65% water. Water everywhere !!

And we, as people, have lived here 1000's and 1000's of years and haven't even begun to explore the depths of the oceans, which by the way, averages several thousand feet deep. There's a whole world under there! Here we are landing on the moon and going to Mars and we haven't even figured out THIS planet yet. I can only imagine all the cool stuff there is at the bottom of the oceans.

Balaenoptera musculus (blue whale) is one of the largest animal found in the ocean. Measuring in at 110 feet long and weighing more than 200 tons, they say it's heart was the size of a small car.

How about jellyfish? No bones, no cartilage, no blood, no brains, and 95% water !

Look at this one. He's got a light on Him to lure in prey. How cool is that?

The world's deepest fish (Abyssobrotula galatheae) was found in the Puerto Rican Trench at a depth of 8,372 meters (that's over five miles down!). Imagine that, 5 frickin' miles underwater. The water pressure alone would crush anything manmade but yet fish live down there. It's unreal. And their eyes are almost non-existant, which makes sense because there is no damn light down there.

All this stuff really makes me believe in evolution even more. Stuff just seems to make sense the more we know. They say that all life came from the water, including humans. I think that's a much more plausible explanation than a magical guy did it and *POOF*, it was done.

And to think, all this cool stuff in the water, and much of it is unexplored. And that water is all sitting on planet earth, where 6.5 billion people reside. And earth, is probably a speck, ON A SPECK, on a grain of sand, on a entire beach of sand in what we call the universe. It really puts things in my life in perspective (like my job). I would say that any planet out there in the universe that has water, probably also has life on it. Now all we have to do is cruise out to another star (sun) and find a planet that obits around the same distance that earth orbits around our sun and I bet you we find life! I think NASA is still a few days away on this project. I would love to live in the lifetime when science actually goes out and finds "other" life, that would be incredible. I just don't think it gonna be in my lifetime unless those "other" life forms are willing to come to us first. And judging by the stupidity of humans, I'd say the chances of them coming to us first are pretty damn good.

Yeah, it's quite a incredible world out there when you stop to ponder it for a few moments. It really makes me wonder even more just why the hell I get up every day and go to work. I mean, it's SO unimportant in the scheme of things. There's so much stuff to figure out in the world and beyond, who cares about punching a damn time clock for someone else. And since I don't believe there are any pearly gates to enter when I leave this place, it means that time is even SHORTER for Me to enjoy all the cool stuff this planet has to offer.

So water, is kinda the basis for life. You need it, your made of it, and literally nothing living would be here without it. So next time you go to the sink for that glass of water and gulp it down, just realize that there is still 35,999,999,999,999,999,999 gallons left !!

332 days until retirement.

Todays RBV:

2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Wow, Adam must have been one busy person. I can't imagine having to name ALL the animals. ALL - as in several MILLION different species!!!!!! Have fun Adam !
