Purpose Driven Life

I'm sure you've all read about this pile of crap book called the "Purpose Driven Life". It was a best seller for 174 WEEKS for Christ's sake!

So why am I bashing this best selling book? Well first of all, because it makes people "stupider", and as you know, I think people are pretty damn stupid already. Second of all, the author cherry picked his messages from more versions of the Bible than I've had jobs.

So lets break this down.

Number one: making people stupider than they already are.

Yes, that's right! This book gives people false hope of something "BETTER" out there. That we are all here to worship a messiah from 2000 years ago (who has never been seen since by the way!) that we need not rely on logic and rational thinking to explain things in life ... it's all God's purpose.

He has created a whole new class of stupid people if you ask me! A bunch of delusional, "whatever happens in life is God's will" idiots! It's like permission to act as stupid as you want and make as many stupid decisions as you want lifestyle. No matter what happens .. it's God's will! BULLSHIT! You know what? Shit happens, now deal with it!! YOU have to deal with it!

I often sit and wonder if the human brain could talk, it would be sitting in our skull saying, "I wonder if anyone is ever going to use me for my full potential!"


Number 2: Cherry picking the Bible.

This is a common practice with every Christian I ever met. Taking a book that is hundreds and hundreds of pages long (in small print) and "cherry picking" the stuff that makes sense to you. Not only this, but there is a ton of DIFFERENT VERSIONS of the Bible out there too. That is where this author shines. If He doesn't like what one Bible has to say about something, He goes to a different version and finds what He is looking for.

Honestly people, if you take a book as BIG as the Bible, then take that Bible and have a bunch of different versions of it, each written a bit different from the other, at some point, you ARE going to find what your looking for!!! That is my whole point on religion! A million different ways to read into it, and a billion different people inturpeting those different ways. I mean .. DO THE MATH!! Is it any wonder why religion is one of the biggest reasons we kill each other, and always has been????

It would be so much easier for me to think of my own "Purpose Driven Life" book. I'd make tons of money and be set for life. But you know what? I'd be lying to myself, not to mention everyone who reads it. And I'd feel terrible for taking advantage of all those people just to make a buck .. so I won't. But one thing I can guarantee, it would go over BIG!! It always does! WOW! I just had a thought .. A guy who DOESN'T believe in God actually has morals!!! Is that possible? Think about it! And here is why my book would go over so good ... because people are ALWAYS thinking there is something magical in life to live for. There is some magic white tunnel at the end of it all that we will go thru and move to a better world. In short ... people are F-ING STUPID!!!

And is it just me, or do you read many verses in the Bible and go ... "HUH??" And other people say the Bible says "this" and then they show you the scripture where is says that and you say .. "How the hell did they get THAT from THIS??" Seriously, I could read an entire chapter in the Bible and not find crap, where a religious speaker could read it and tell me in detail when, where, and how the world will end in great detail. Yup, the imagination is a wonderful thing!!

I say for the 100th time, wake up people!! This is the same scam that has been going on forever and ever, and with your help, there is no end in sight!! Quit making other people rich on the idea that if we live our lives for imaginary ideas, we will be rewarded in the end. Just realize that we are here, and that's all we know. Any author, preacher, lecturer, or WHOEVER has NO IDEA what happens when we die!! Just ask yourself this ... HOW THE HELL DOES HE KNOW, HE'S NOT DEAD!!!! Enough said.

If nothing else, please, I beg you, quit taking things for granted and start questioning things that you take for granted. You might just start telling yourself .. "Hey, that don't make any frickin' sense!"

Now go find your REAL purpose is life !! Amen!

Sorry to break the news to you God, but the moon is NOT a light. But I imagine that is what MAN thought 1000's of years ago when they wrote the Bible. Hmmmm, interesting!
