Clarifacation needed.

I just thought I'd let you readers of my blog know something about me that might be misunderstood. I've been bashing religion pretty good from day one, because I'm pretty damn sure it's a load of crap, and yes, I still feel that way. In fact, I feel 10 times better about not believing in the Bible than how I felt about BELIEVING in the bible back when I told that I had to believe it was true. I never had this passion for believing in God like I do NOT believing in God. Do you know why?? BECAUSE WHAT I'M DOING NOW MAKES SENSE!!!!!! Unlike what I wasted half my life doing before. You see, I too, was a stupid person, because I listened to other stupid people.

Anyway, this road I decided to believe pretty much ends there. I don't have a lot of answers past the point of the Bible is a bunch of "folk tales". I don't know if there IS a higher being out there, I don't know if we just die and turn to mulch, I don't know if we have a spirit that floats off and we hover around forever in the next world, assuming there is one. All I know is that God, and the Bible, as we know it, are NOT TRUE! We, as people, take things for granted without researching them, and when you actually dive in and do some investigating, you find it don't make a hell of a lot of sense. It's just easier for us to know the Bible from what we see on a billboard or church sign, or have a pastor cherry pick the same passages over and over year after year. It's just easier going to church every Sunday, like a molded robot trained to do the "run of the mill" lifestyle. Yeah, well I say "easy don't make it right"!!! Get off your lazy butts and check it out, don't take my word for it.

Now, to my point. This "decision" I made, is actually going to drive me nuts for a long time. But that's OK, because it makes life interesting, and as you know, life, as I know it, is pretty boring. I now have to wonder ... WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING HERE??? You see, it was easier to say that we are here to serve the Lord, and if I do good, I will go to Heaven. Yup, that was easier, A LOT STUPIDER, but easier. Now I have to figure out just what the point is of us being here, and you know what, I don't think I'm gonna figure it out. It's kind of an absurd thought to think that I'll figure it out when millions of other people over the lifetimes have not. But, like I said, that's OK, it will keep my mind off of all the stupid people we have in this world at least.

So giving up the idea that that "talking to an invisible man in the sky" is just the end of one journey, which just starts another journey that looks like a way bigger task to figure out. But on those sleepless nights, I'll go outside and sit in my lawn chair and stare up at the sky and see that mother earth, as big as we think it is, is really just a grain of sand in the beach of the universe. And you, me, and everyone who thinks they have such a busy, important life .... really don't have Jack Squat when you put it into perspective. I truly believe, that with all the knowledge we have, with all the technology, and even how far we've come .... the end result is, WE DON'T KNOW SHIT! And if you don't believe me, set your alarm for 3:00 AM some clear night and go sit outside somewhere far away from all the lights and just ponder whats out there. I think after a short while, you'll come to the same conclusion as me. By the way, the picture you see is OUR galaxy, and earth is a tiny dot somewhere in that picture. Now get this, the galaxy that you see in the picture .... well, there are billions of THEM are out there. For all we know, it's endless. Enough said.

With that I'll end this blog with a positive note. And that is, Help control the stupid population ..... grab a stupid person on the street and have them spayed or neutered. Thank you.
