More stupid stuff.

Here's another thing that I think is just plain stupid. Your hot and cold faucets on your sinks.

Why is hot on the left and cold on the right? Doesn't it make more sense to put them in alphabetical order? Shouldn't 'C'old be first (the left), and 'H'ot be next (the right)??? I sure think so! In fact last year I installed a new faucet in our kitchen and I intentionally switched the hot and cold BACK to where they should be. I will continue to do this with any other faucet that needs repairing or replacing. Whoever started putting the hot on the left and the cold on the right needs to be castrated as to not pollute anymore of the world with His/Her stupidity! AMEN!

And speaking of water, here another rule that should be the standard in life. If you use a dish, you wash it! Simple, but effective. Who wants to stand over a sink for and hour or so washing a mound of dirty dishes 3 feet tall? Get yourself a scrubber that stores soap in the handle and when you use a spoon and bowl to have cereal, you need to give them both a quick scrub with soapy water, and let them rinse dry. EASY!! From this day forward it is illegal to take your dirty dishes and just throw them in the sink. Take 15 seconds to clean them up and be done with it! I think I just saved a lot of marriages out there with this advice! And as for getting your kids to follow this ingenious advice, just tell them "When you leave a dirty dish in the sink, God kills a baby puppy!" That seems to do the job.

And for you morons who says your wasting water .... shut up! Your NOT wasting water when you use a small amount for each dish VS. using a whole sink full to do a bunch of dishes, then STILL have the water running to rinse them off also! Nice try! And for those of you who have a dishwasher, sell it! It will take up too much electricity when you convert your house over to battery banks down the road. Sell it and use the money to start building a windmill in your yard!

Todays RBV: Psalm 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Yup, you read it here. From cancer to restless leg syndrome, the Lord heals 'em all. I wonder why God has NEVER cured an amputee however ?? Hmmmmm ......

Planning stages

So I've been doing some research, and I've found out some interesting facts.

I have a pole barn that is 40 feet by 60 feet. That's quite a large square foot area on the roof. And in a rain, that equates to a lot of water. In fact, for each inch of rain we get, my roof will drain off 1,500 GALLONS OF WATER!! Imagine that!! One thousand five hundred gallons of water ... from ONE INCH of rain! That's the equivalent of 3 of those swimming pools with the inflatable tops that rise as you fill it. That's a lot of frickin' water folks! And this is just the pole barn. I could get even more water by catching rain from my house rooftop too.

So I'm going to get a whole bunch of plastic 55 gallon barrels. Our Pepsi distributor gives them away for free when they are done with them. I'll build a gutter sytem that drains into a couple of barrels. Then those barrels will feed more barrels down by the garden through hoses. And with a little help from gravity as my friend I will water my garden through drip irrigation for free!

You see ... I told you most of the stuff you need is free! We just don't take advantage of it. We've become spoiled and lazy, and then when we have to pay for stupid stuff like heat and water, we complain about it. I guess it does make sense to complain about paying for stuff that's free, but nobody has a gun to your head telling you to do it either.

Now expand that idea a bit. We have free outdoor water with rain. We have free water underground that's drinkable. We have free heat through woodburning stoves, we have free electricity through the sun and wind, we have free food through animals and plants. It's all free .. you just gotta tap into it! I've basically eliminated the heat, electric, grocery, and water bill! Hell, if you have your house paid off, what is the point of even having a job ??? Does it start to make sense that we're all stupid??

Yeah, I know. I'm a looooong ways away from all this happening, but don't forget, I'm retired. And time is all I have. You laugh now, but I'll get the last laugh. Watch and see.

Todays RBV: Samuel 12:18 So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.

You see, all I gotta do is ask God, and millions of gallons of water will be at my disposal !!!

Water - not bottled either !

Did you know that there is a lot of frickin' water around us? A hell of a lot ! Take a look at this picture above and try and vision just how much water there is.

The entire earth is made up of about 70% oceans! Which means us 6.5 billion people live on less than 30% of the earth because there is a lot of earth that no people live due to extreme conditions.
They estimate there is about 36 million trillion gallons of water on earth, thats 36,000,000,000,000,000,000 gallons of water. That's a lot of damn water ! Hell the human body is 65% water. Water everywhere !!

And we, as people, have lived here 1000's and 1000's of years and haven't even begun to explore the depths of the oceans, which by the way, averages several thousand feet deep. There's a whole world under there! Here we are landing on the moon and going to Mars and we haven't even figured out THIS planet yet. I can only imagine all the cool stuff there is at the bottom of the oceans.

Balaenoptera musculus (blue whale) is one of the largest animal found in the ocean. Measuring in at 110 feet long and weighing more than 200 tons, they say it's heart was the size of a small car.

How about jellyfish? No bones, no cartilage, no blood, no brains, and 95% water !

Look at this one. He's got a light on Him to lure in prey. How cool is that?

The world's deepest fish (Abyssobrotula galatheae) was found in the Puerto Rican Trench at a depth of 8,372 meters (that's over five miles down!). Imagine that, 5 frickin' miles underwater. The water pressure alone would crush anything manmade but yet fish live down there. It's unreal. And their eyes are almost non-existant, which makes sense because there is no damn light down there.

All this stuff really makes me believe in evolution even more. Stuff just seems to make sense the more we know. They say that all life came from the water, including humans. I think that's a much more plausible explanation than a magical guy did it and *POOF*, it was done.

And to think, all this cool stuff in the water, and much of it is unexplored. And that water is all sitting on planet earth, where 6.5 billion people reside. And earth, is probably a speck, ON A SPECK, on a grain of sand, on a entire beach of sand in what we call the universe. It really puts things in my life in perspective (like my job). I would say that any planet out there in the universe that has water, probably also has life on it. Now all we have to do is cruise out to another star (sun) and find a planet that obits around the same distance that earth orbits around our sun and I bet you we find life! I think NASA is still a few days away on this project. I would love to live in the lifetime when science actually goes out and finds "other" life, that would be incredible. I just don't think it gonna be in my lifetime unless those "other" life forms are willing to come to us first. And judging by the stupidity of humans, I'd say the chances of them coming to us first are pretty damn good.

Yeah, it's quite a incredible world out there when you stop to ponder it for a few moments. It really makes me wonder even more just why the hell I get up every day and go to work. I mean, it's SO unimportant in the scheme of things. There's so much stuff to figure out in the world and beyond, who cares about punching a damn time clock for someone else. And since I don't believe there are any pearly gates to enter when I leave this place, it means that time is even SHORTER for Me to enjoy all the cool stuff this planet has to offer.

So water, is kinda the basis for life. You need it, your made of it, and literally nothing living would be here without it. So next time you go to the sink for that glass of water and gulp it down, just realize that there is still 35,999,999,999,999,999,999 gallons left !!

332 days until retirement.

Todays RBV:

2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

Wow, Adam must have been one busy person. I can't imagine having to name ALL the animals. ALL - as in several MILLION different species!!!!!! Have fun Adam !
