Swine Flu and viruses

Well were on our way to the flu season and it's hard to avoid the headlines about the dreaded swine flu.

I find it just crazy that some little micro organism can wipe out a human life ... what power!!! And what do they recommend to avoid getting the flu? Stay out of crowd gathering places! Are you kidding Me? That's all humans do is gather together in crowded places. Think about it! Schools are a perfect breeding ground for the virus to spread. All them little kids coughing and sneezing and not covering their mouths. Germs on desks, and playground equipment, and gym accessories ... everything!!!

And grown ups are no better ... what do most of us do? Go to work! Lots of people all crammed together in a little room or building 5 out of 7 days a week! STUPID! And then .. then, on our days off we go to malls, and restaurants, and movie theaters, and church, and shopping. Nothing but gathering ourselves together in masses providing the perfect scenario for viruses to breed and multiply.

I'm guess I'm lucky that I hate being around people. The last thing I want to do is go to town and mingle with 500 other people at Walmart. I think if all of us would just sit our ass home we wouldn't have to worry about this virus on a global scale. I know .. I know, if we all sat at home then the whole economy would collapse. Well ..... is that's so bad? Why not try it? We could use a little 'reset' in our spending habits anyway. I just think if we all just kinda kept to ourselves to raise our family, and got by on a more simpler lifestyle, we would all be a lot better off.

Think about all these yuppies who spend their week flying all over the world on 'business', meanwhile picking up germs from other countries and bringing them back home. Why the hell can't he just have a little farm and grow some food instead? Why can't all of us just mind our own damn business and then the rest of the world will mind their own damn business too? Oh well .. I'm getting off subject.

Anyway .. in closing, I think we (as humans) CREATE the perfect environment for these viruses to thrive. It's human stupidity once again. We've created a world that insists that we fly to other countries, to drive 15,000 miles a year, to live in multimillion person populations. And as long as we live our lives thinking that we have to gather together with hundreds of other people on a daily basis, we will continue to be the perfect breeding grounds for whatever plague lies around the corner. Good luck to all!

Population Update

As for yesterday's blog, I was a little off on the population of the earth. For some reason a year or two back, I knew the population of the earth to be about 6.4 billion people. That number has stuck in my head ever since. Unfortunately, since man has the uncontrollable urge to breed, that number has gone up and is now at about 6.8 billion people. So ... in conclusion, within a short span of time, man has created another 400 million people. That's FOUR HUNDRED MILLION ... or 400,000,000 PEOPLE!!!!

The really good news is that around the year 2050, or about the time I've lived a full and complete life, we're estimated to be around 9 billion people, or not quite 1/3 more than what we are now. Let's just hope I die at an early age before the breeding situation has gone totally out of control.

Oh yeah .. and if you read yesterdays blog about every square mile holding 618 people, well the stakes just went up a bit. Now every square mile needs to hold 661 people. Ain't life grand?

So I really don't see much difference between humans and the 1000's and 1000's of crickets or grasshoppers that appeared on My property so suddenly this year. It's just like looking at the human population, just on a much quicker time line. Maybe we'll all get lucky and the swine flu will take out about 1/2 the population of earth this winter ... it seems we're about due for a good global cleansing don't ya think?? Amen.

Swine Flu

Well the good old U.S. has declared the 'Swine Flu' an emergency and a pandemic! That's right we now have 20 confirmed cases in the country already!! YES .. I said 20 !!!!!!

Let's see ... 300 million people live in the United States, and 20 have the flu. Hmmmm .. can you say 'SCARE TACTICS???' Does this strike anyone else as odd? Has any of you sat down and done the math? NO? OK .. I'll do it for you. That would be 0.000000066 of the population now has the swine flu!! HOLY CRAP!! No wonder why we declared an emergency!! If you multiplied the number of people currently with the swine flu by a mere 10 million, you'd have just over 1/2 of ONE PERCENT of the population infected!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

--------------

Here's some 'Back to Reality' figures for you:

- The Black Plague of the 1300's killed millions of people .. and I'm pretty sure their health care wasn't quite as advanced as ours now.

- The Spanish Flu in 1918 killed over 50 millions people!!

- Asian Flu - killed 70,000 US citizens

- The Hong Kong flu of 1968 killed 34,000 people.

--------------

I guess it's better to be safe than sorry, but it does seem a bit premature and a lot like the familiar scare tactics that is used to keep us in fear and under control. And if you want to look on the bright side, the earth population could use a little chopping away ... oh maybe a billion or so. That would solve the environmental problems too.

I got it! Let's develop the 'Religious Flu'! That would be great! All the people who are religious in the world suddenly gets massive cramping which brings them to their knees (something they're familiar with anyway), along with hearing voices in their head, and seeing things that aren't really there! There's no known cure except death, in which case they get to go meet "whoever" in the sky like they wanted to anyway!

Now if we could get a virus like that circulating around the planet, that would be a day of true celebration!! Amen.

Todays RBV: 1 Corinthians 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

And we're worried about the swine flu spreading! God wiped out 23,000 people in ONE DAY!!
