Here's to one of the dumber Holidays of the year ... Thanksgiving. I mean who gives a shit if some pilgrims ate some poultry a long time ago! Good for you!! I ate some burgers the other night ... you don't see ME making a God Damn Holiday over it, do you? I think it's even more stupid how we celebrate this apparent Holiday.
On one side you have a people who go spend 50 or 100 bucks on a turkey, ham, stuffing, potatoes, yams, cranberries, veggie trays, gravy, pies, beer, booze, and God knows what else. They take off the day before Thanksgiving to start preparing all the crap. Then they get up at 5AM the next day to start cooking all this stuff ... just for 'making' ONE DAMN MEAL!
Then on the other side, you have people taking off time from work to pay 400, 500, 600 bucks for an airline ticket to fly across the country just so they can 'eat' ONE DAMN MEAL!
Personally, I think in these troubled times, we should all stay home with our immediate family, be thankful to have the day off, and eat some Ramen Noodles and save a few hundred bucks, and a lot of stress to top it off. Amen.
** Oh yeah, the picture up top! That's a picture from the Butterball plant of all the turkey guts that are left over after they package it up so pretty and send it to Walmart for your special meal. Enjoy!!!
