Kids for Sale

For Sale:

2 kids. One is eight, the other is five. Both are well behaved, potty trained and good responsible little adults. Should make some family really happy. We just don't have the time for them anymore like we thought.

-----------------------------------------------------

Now THERE'S an ad you don't see very often. But why not? People do it to their pets all the time. I constantly see ads from people who are trying to get rid of 'certain other' members of the family. That don't bother people at all! Why do your dogs and cats get such shit treatment as being disposable, but your kids don't? I don't get get!

What the hell did you get a dog for in the first place? You damn well know that they live 10-15 years! If you can't make the commitment .. then don't get one! I can see where certain unpredictable circumstances lead you to give up your family pet. Maybe you give them to a relative, or possibly a good friend. But that doesn't seem to be the case with most ads I see. Most of them are as lame as the following:

4 giveaway - 3 year old, black lab. Great dog. We just decided to have a family now and She's got to go.

For sale - Purebred Collie. Has papers and is registered. We are moving and just don't want the mess in the new house.

4 Sale - St. Bernard, great dog, good protector, good with kids. We just don't have time for it anymore.

-------------------

HOW PATHETIC! What the hell did your dog do to deserve being dumped for no good reason? Wag his tail every single day you came home? Show you love and compassion no matter what kind of mood YOU were in? Entertain you when you weren't feeling so good?

I guess having a pet is a lot like having a kid .. a good majority of the people really shouldn't be allowed to have them.

Todays RBV: 1 Samuel 15:2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

Not exactly the "Turn the other cheek" Lord we were all taught about, is He?
