Well I finally gave in and decided to go back into the work force.
It's been a fun and eventful 4 months off, but reality is starting to rear it's ugly head.
I had planned on never working for the man again, but I don't think that idea is gonna fly. I had planned on building a corn maze for income, but that got shot down. I had planned on planting my own garden and supplying most of my own food, but all my equipment is broke and I can't afford to fix them. I had planned on creating my own power with solar and wind energy, but now that I have a solar panel in place, I see that it isn't even a drop in the bucket compared to all the energy I need to run a house. I had planned to live under poverty levels to show everyone that it could be done, but we're slowly running out of money as it cost more to live than I thought. I thought I could live under the wage to not pay taxes to the government as to not support bailing out all the deadbeats of the country, but like I said, it's just not enough to make ends meet. I planned on being a stay-at-home-dad, but I gotta be honest ... it's a lot harder than I thought.
Yeah ... I thought a lot of different things, but I guess I wasn't thinking to clearly. At any rate, Monday, April 13th 2009, I will be working for a company in a warehouse as a shipping and receiving person. I guess that's something I kinda enjoy anyway as I've done it in the past. I hope I can STAY at this job and make a career out of it at least. I know that starting over isn't easy and I'm going to have to work my way up the ladder and it will take time to get vacation and such, but I guess that's the lessons you learn by trying to do thing "YOUR" way and bucking the system. Oh well ... like I said, it was all fun while it lasted, and one day I'll look back and laugh at this crazy point in my life.
In closing, I'd just like to ask you all what day it is today? April 1st? Isn't that April Fools Day?? Isn't that the day when you try to bullshit people into believing something that isn't true? Well, I'll never know who I fooled and who I didn't but just so you know, everything you read today is all bullshit!!!!! I ain't going to work for anyone! Are you crazy?? Make more money to bail out all the cockroaches and leeches? Not grow a monster garden .. are you kidding Me?? Not continue to get off-the-grid from society?? HA! Not become self sufficient? Dream on!! Not being able to make it on poverty levels?? IT'S EASY!! Give up raising My kids before they get to old to think Daddy's not cool ........ FORGET IT!!
Yeah ... life WILL continue as it as just like the past 4 months! Life's to short not to try something wild and weird. So for all of You fell for it ... April Fools Suckers !!!

lol nice post. Al though it could be the true in the long time. When you have kids you have much costs i guess. So maybe you one day have to work for the man again.
By the way is the state of less visible in google maps? I wondered where you live.
Although the SOL IS visible from google earth, it is HIGHLY classified information that only the top seats in the government have knowledge to. Some days I don't even know where I'm at.
Let's just say it's the 'Area 51' of North Dakota.
