Happy Earth Day!
I would like to clarify My views on the earth, the environment, and all that stuff that goes with it.
I recently posted a blog about 'Earth Hour' a while back, and I made some pretty absurd comments. I did this because I live for 'shock' value, and I was generally not speaking about the enviroment.
What I was really trying to say is that earth ... as in the huge rock we live on will be around loooooong after man has screwed it over. We will all be dead and gone and the good old pale blue dot will still be here, spinning away around the the sun. It don't matter if we finally nuke ourselves out of existence due to some crazy religious war, or we choke ourselves out with all the pollution we create. The earth will heal itself and continue on its journey ... like always. Truly nothing MAN will ever do will actually be even close to the same scale as what the earth can do.
Now that being said, I would also like to comment that men are pigs! We are absolutly trashing this planet to the core. Did you know that we create so much damn garbage that there is a spot in the pacific ocean about TWICE THE SIZE OF TEXAS that is nothing but pure dumped garbage!! Garbage that will never biodegrate. Garbage that will be there for 1000's and 1000's of years. We haven't even begun to explore the bottom of the oceans to see how much cool life is down there and we're already polluting it with our crap!
I'm not saying that I have the answer .. I'm just saying that we are complete pigs as human beings. Dumping our crap where ever we can without a care in the world about the effects it will have down the road. I'm no better. I create just as much trash as the rest of you, but I don't think anyone ever thinks of where 4.5 billion people put all that garbage.
Only man could pollute something as big as planet earth. Congratulations to all of us! We all must be so proud. So in closing, I would like to just say that I do have concerns about how big of pigs we all are, but at the same time, I think good old planet earth will one day breath a big sigh of relief when we finally wipe ourselves out of the picture so it can go on it's way without the toxic, puking waste that only man could create.

Todays RBV: Exodus 34:14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
God is jealous? Really? The All mighty, All knowing, All powerful, All holy God has such a petty human emotion as jealousy?? How pathetic!

By the way there are 6.5 billion people walking around on this planet these days. So that means even more pollution. But i agree with you that we really are on our way to totally destroy this planet. We are growing exponentially so the pollution is not twice as much next year but 20 times as much. So we can do what we want here in the west but as long as China and India etc are not doing anything for the envoirement we are all focked.
You're right TT. I think I get the age of our solar system and the population of earth mixed up for some reason.
And as long as China continues to not give a flying f%#$, it don't matter to much.
