Where did you worked?
"The man" is just a term for 'the system', or 'the job' in this case. In other words, having a typical job, punching a time clock everyday, going through the grind, being the hamster on the wheel.
Where did I work? Uhmmm where didn't I work is a better question. 10 jobs in 17 years made Me start to see a pattern. I don't like working for someone else!
