Football

I've never understood football. I mean .. I get it, you grab the ball, run down the field, score points and all the crap. But it's just stupid.

I don't get what the big deal about football is. Why is it so damn popular to carry a ball down a field without getting tackled? I mean these guys have on 20 lbs of padding, how 'manly' is that? It would be a hell-of-a-lot more impressive to see these guys out there with just shorts and a t-shirt going at it. Give me a broken arm or something. How tough is it to wear protective gear all over your body and then go out and try to throw somebody to the ground??

Look at this list of crap, and I'm NOT making this up either. Hip pads, tail pads, thigh pads, knee pads, padded shorts, arm pads, girdles, elbow pads, nut cups, helmets, ankle braces, hand pads, wrist supports, back supports, shoulder supports, mouth guards. HOLY CRAP!! Do our poor soldiers in Iraq have this much protective equipment???

How about a little comparison? Take hockey, for example. These guys are constantly moving, getting tired, and taking a beating. Yeah, they're wearing protection too, but at least they are moving!! They don't take a 'rest break' after every 10 second play. Or basketball, there's no way in hell I could run up and down the court more than one or two times and I'd be played out. But not football!! These dip shits make ONE play and exert a little bit of effort and then they take a break and 'huddle' for awhile.

You don't see boxers wearing body armor do you? NO ... they just have on some shorts, a shirt, and a little plastic cup to protect the 'family jewels'. I think if football wants to live up to it's name of the big 'manly sport', they need to go out there and prove it by taking off the high impact plastic and foam rubber inserts and BE REAL MEN!!! I think they're all a bunch of pussies myself.

And another thing .. it's BORING!! How fun is it to watch a group of guys take 2 or 3 minutes to 'huddle' together just to see them give a guy a ball and run 1 yard down the field? YAWN!! That was sure worth the planning!! I think every play should be a passing play of no less than 20 yards .. or else you automatically loose. Keep me interested for Christ sake!! And then they have the balls to call 'time out'!! TIME OUT??? This whole damn game in on time out!! I dare you to get 2 stopwatches and compare the amount of time they are actually 'playing football', and the amount of time they are just 'talking about playing football'. It's pathetic!!!!!

So let's all get together and ban football. It's over-rated, it's gay, and it has no point in today's society. Either that, or chalk up yet another thing in the world that 'I just don't get!'

Really?? I find it hard to believe that there will come a time when one CAN'T kill himself. I could think of a 100 ways right now. Sorry ... it's just hard to believe that 'in the end' if I feel like smashing my car into a solid object, while going 100 mph, without a seat belt, that God could stop me from dying. Not to mention I filled the glove box with C-4 explosives (just in case).
