Stupid Is as Stupid Does.

So I'm wondering about life again.

In the past year, I feel pretty damn good about the non-belief in God. I know, to many of you that is offensive, but I promise you if you do some research, you'll probably start to change your ways.

Now I'm delving into this theory that working for "the man" in a dumb idea. Now I gotta admit, it's a bit intimidating. In fact, while I'm starting out this journey, I wouldn't doubt that working for the man is EASIER! But, easier don't exactly make it right either.

Here's what I'm trying to express in word "in a nutshell".

I believe that we are here on earth. I have no idea WHY we are here. I have no idea about ANY higher power out there. I have no idea IF we continue on to another life after we die. In fact, ANY SCIENCE out there would say that we are all living creatures and then we die and that's it. There is just NO PROOF that we continue on ... weather it be with Jesus, Allah, reincarnation, or meet up with Santa Claus. Lots and lots of fables ... but no proof. SO ... with those beliefs in mind, it just seems absurd to go through life working for someone 40, 50 hours a week for 40 years out of our life. I personally think it's a waste of half a life. I really, truly, and honestly believe We do "what we do" because it's just ingrained in our head to do so. We, as people, are in a rut. Were robots, were hamsters on a wheel, were little slaves! Slaves to life!

We enter the world, grow up, educate yourself for 12 or MORE years, just to get smart enough to work for someone all your life! WHAT!!!!! Our entire upbringing we are being groomed to learn to work for the man for a living. Yeah, go to work for someone until your barely able to stand upright anymore without medical devices to help you out. THEN .... you can retire and spend your retirement in a Lazyboy drinking prune juice and popping Geritol. YEAH .... WHAT A LIFE!

You know, we've all looked at how ants live at sometime or another. Either in school, or some PBS special, or maybe an ant farm. They are pathetic little slaves. Work, work, work. When is the last time you seen a ant laying on his back sprawled out over a grain of sand just sitting back soaking up some sunshine???? NEVER! And who's to say were much different than ants?

I guess in closing, I'm doubting God, I'm doubting work, and now I'm wondering just how many MORE things there are to doubt! I'm not intentionally looking for things to slam or anything. I just think there are more things that we do, or rely on, that are just ingrained in my head, and I don't even know about them.
