You know what I always thought was strange? People who change their religion when they get married. I mean IF religion is such an important issue as people say, how can we just change our faiths because we get married?
- I'm born and raised Catholic but switched to Lutheran because my my wife is Lutheran.
- I was a Seventh Day Adventist but when we got married I changed to Baptist like my husband.
- I was raised Mormon but joined my wife's church and now I'm Pentecostal.
Again, is it just me or is this whole scenario frickin' nuts? Some of these religions have VERY different beliefs than the others. But since your getting married, you just threw it all away and started believing NEW things now. HUH??????? WTF???? And yet if someone comes up to you and says "I don't really believe in God" OR "I'm agnostic", then .... THEN ... you get offended as HELL! As to say "HOW DARE YOU DENY THY GOD" ... like suddenly it's the most important issue of your life! But when it came to getting a lifetime supply of "nooky" by getting married, you threw out the "religious importance" in a heartbeat.
Like I said before, I think religion is a "status symbol" ingrained in our heads that we MUST believe in Jesus! But I think a lot of people are just lazy hypocrites too! I REALLY think that when it comes down to it, if you REALLY dissect the TRUE Christians from the "labeled" Christians, you would have a VERY small number of ACTUAL CHRISTIANS that would live up to Biblical standards. I think in America, the biggest group out there is not Catholics or Lutherans, but HYPOCRITES!! Misinformed, lazy, not willing to check it out for themselves hypocrites!!
So how DARE you scoff at the fact that I think religion is bunk! At least I DID SOME HOMEWORK and studied the fact VS the fables. Unlike some Christians I know who just show up randomly for church on Sunday, then stay for potluck dinner, and label themselves as HOLY! Piss on you people! AMEN.
Todays RBV: 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.
As you can see, Christ appeared many times to people AFTER He died so asking the question "Why doesn't He come and see us today?" is NOT a ridiculous question. The reason He never makes any appearances today is the same reason no one has every seen the real Santa Claus ..... THEY DON'T EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
