I wonder this a lot lately. What is our reason for being here, assuming there is one. Well, I've ruled out God, which in my opinion, was the easy way out for my question. "We're all just here to love one another and to be good people and worship the Lord each and everyday." BULLSHIT!! We are not!! Every single day we know more and more and anything with religion makes less and less sense. Now if you want to go around and love each other and live and peace and harmony, HEY, more power to you! I agree, just don't do it because some magic guy in the sky says so, do it because it's morally right as human nature. NOW ... let's get down to real business!
We live on one of 8 planets in our solar system (sorry Pluto). Our planet is not that big in comparison. Hell, Jupiter has 317 times MORE mass than us! And the sun ... holy crap .. the sun takes up 99.86 of ALL the mass in our entire solar system! And WE think WERE important??? HUH?? Really?? Ha ha, sorry Charlie, you ain't shit!

This sun that is almost all the mass of our solar system is a star (I hope you knew that). This star is one of many stars. How many you ask?? Well let's put it this way, there are over 6 BILLION people on earth, and if we handed out stars evenly to each person .. then each and every person on earth would own over A TRILLION STARS!!!! Let that sink in a bit! A trillion times 6 billion.
So we are orbiting around one star. That's 8 planets, many moons, and several billion people. That's one star out of multi trillions of stars out there. Each and every star having probable planets and moons, each and every planet with the possibility of life.
Now I ask you again .... what the hell are we doing here???? I most HIGHLY recommend you clicking on this link and watching it ........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcBV-cXVWFw . I think you'll be in for a big surprise at just how little we really mean in the scheme of things. Earth is a grain of sand in the universe, and you and me ... well, you and me are just a fraction of a pinpoint on that grain of sand. It's unreal .. totally amazing.

So the next time you have a bad day, or hell, a good day, just stop and think about how much it matters in the big picture .. because it don't. We are all just floating around on a rock, one of trillions and trillions and trillions in the universe, with God knows how many other life forms out there doing the same thing. And when your about to lock the door at night and go to bed, take a moment to look up at the sky and get a peek at just a pinpoint of the universe .. and know that it's probably endless, and ask yourself ... "What the hell are we doing here?"
Todays RBV:
Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Ahhhhhhh dammit, and here I had the answer right under my nose the whole time! Silly me.
