Science VS Religion

I know I briefly commented on the age of the earth in another blog. Now I would like to take it apart a bit.

Science estimates earth to be about 4 to 4.5 BILLION years old.

The bible claims that we are about 6 THOUSAND years old.

Now ..... I hope those numbers settle into your brain. These are so far off, if you divide them out your in the millionths. This is a VERY GOOD THING.

These numbers being this far off is like saying the distance from New York City to San Fransisco is about 28 feet instead of 2,500 miles. That should put in in perspective how off these numbers are. Again ... 28 FEET VS 2,500 MILES (or 13,200,000 feet).

Imagine if the two numbers were lets say : 6000 year VS 10,000 years. We would NEVER have an answer as the two sides would argue forever about it. However, we fortunately have 2 outrageous different answers which makes it so easy to say "ONLY 1 CAN BE RIGHT."

Science dates things over and over with every possible known way of dating things. All those tests have to match before they will claim it to be true. All these tests are done by different methods, not with the same technique like radiation, for example. This ensures that the findings are as true as possibly can be with all the knowledge we have.

The bible was apparently inspired by a God, written by man. Sometimes written by several men, who have 2 different versions of the same story. The bible can be interpreted many different ways due to how vague it is on lots of issues. The bible is supposed to be taken literally, SOMETIMES. At other times is supposed to be taken symbolically. The bible is a huge book of tons of stories that if you look hard enough you will probably find ANYTHING you want to believe because somewhere in the book is what you want to find, and how you want to interrupt it. Why do you think there are so many people arguing about which religion is right ?? Because there's so many damn ways to read into it !!!

My point is, we have one very clear, obvious side who backs up everything with facts. And one side who backs up ridiculous things with "God works in mysterious ways". COME ON PEOPLE!!
Did you know that there are religious speakers out there who have publicly said "God put the dinosaur fossils in the earth to test our faith!" AHHHHHH!!! It's just insane folks !! Totally insane. And you know what I bet ? I bet that as time goes on, religion will fade more and more and more as it starts to make less and less and less sense. I also predict that we will become a BETTER world when religion fades out. YES, I said it, a better world. Do you know why, because just about everyone out there is fighting for ....... you guessed it .. RELIGION !!

Did you know that there are countries in the world with around 85% atheism? Guess what, they have the lowest crime rates, lowest divorce rates, lowest suicide rates. Funny how these things go hand in hand.

Again I say, how stupid are we ?? It's just damn embarrassing to say that we've been around for countless years and we still, to this day, believe in a magical guy in the sky. It might be Thor, or Zues, or the Sun back in the days. All the way to Jesus, or Buddah, or Allah, or a God damn goat that gave birth to a Albino kid, on Holy Thursday, just after the bells rang, and the cow farted. I can't stop saying it, "How stupid can we be?? Stupid, stupid, stupid!" I really think all these UFO's that have apparently come down by earth but never landed just get close enough to see us, then look at each other and say, "These people are to STUPID to visit!", then they fly off in search of "INTELLIGENT" life.

I also ask that anyone, everyone, prove me wrong ! Am I guaranteeing that I'm right without a doubt ?? NO, but please prove me wrong. Show me this God, a REAL God, not one in your head. And don't give me this faith crap, I can have faith in anything I want in life, I can believe that the moon is my God, my dog is my God, my jar of jelly is my God. And you know what, when talking to it, I get the same results as you ... silence. And when praying to it, I get the same results as you .. about 50/50. So after doing some rational, logical thinking, I conclude my results. Amen

PEOPLE !!!!! WAKE UP !!!!! For the love of SOMETHING, please wake up. Study a bit, learn some shit. Were not going to fall apart as a civilization just because we quit believing in fairy tales. This has been going on for thousands of years .... honestly .. do we EVER learn ?? Did the world end when you found out Santa was fake ? NO !! Life continued as usual, well guess what ? Not only will it be OK when you stop talking to the sky, it will get better !! You will be using your rational, logical, thinking to explain things in your life. Who knows, we might even advance in our civilization, instead of being stuck in a time warp up your ass. You'll love it, I really think you will.
